Eddie Sanford’s GES Custom Remodel transformed my front entryway, galley kitchen and dining room into a beautiful open kitchen/great room during the summer of 2013. I was very pleased with the results! All the guidelines of working with a remodel were followed. It was nice to have someone reputable and experienced orchestrating the process and it is a BIG process! The issues of design, organization and scheduling of tasks were all dealt with promptly and appropriately. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were excellent. I found Mr. Sanford to be knowledgeable, informative, and honest in his dealings. I would recommend consulting with him for any type of remodel.

As a Certified Kitchen Designer, I have had the pleasure of working with Eddie Sanford on 3 or 4 projects. Eddie’s attention to detail and very honest conversation regarding outcome and budget on the front of the project is what sets him apart from the rest of the contractors that I work with. The homeowner knows exactly what to expect during the progress of the project and the line of communication remains open until the end. I tell my clients that there is rarely a question left for the homeowner to ask as he usually asks first.

Eddie is not afraid to share his opinion, yet respects the homeowners decisions. He also respects the work of the other tradesmen and designers with whom he works, which makes the projects really flow. I look forward future project with Eddie in the near future.

Eddie and everyone who works for him are extremely competent, and they care about what they’re doing. They clearly want a good result, and they wanted me to be happy. Eddie is very thorough when quoting a job and so his price was higher, but there were no surprises. I want to know what it’s really going to cost before I start a job, and I want somebody who’s going to stand behind his commitments. Eddie does that. You can trust him to do what he says he’ll do, and do it well. Everybody that Eddie employed or contracted with was a pleasure to have in our home. That’s really saying something.

Eddie is a pleasure to work with. He understands the importance of communication to the success of a project. He and I met several times to refine the scope and goals of the project. We met with his team before construction stared to go over every detail of the project, so everyone involved, including us, understood the plan and how things were going to proceed. Ben and Jeff did most of the actual work and I can’t praise them highly enough. Once work started, they were consistently at our house working. If plans changed because of weather (snow, ice) or because of a delayed material delivery, they kept us in the loop. And they do quality workmanship. Also, Eddie made sure that the rest of our house was protected from construction dust and possible damage from construction materials going up and down the stairs. The project was scheduled to take 6 weeks, but took 8 because of those weather and material delays. It was obvious to me that Eddie loves what he does and he knows the right people to help him get the job done well. He has a great eye for tile layout, and general aesthetics of design. Although Eddie’s cost was about $25000, the materials (tub, tile, shower fittings, glass, etc) were another $13000, so total cost was about $38,000. Overall, we are very pleased, both with working with Eddie and his team, and with our new master bath.

Eddie helped us with a complete kitchen remodel a year ago. Since then one of the drawers developed a problem (a side joint was coming apart). Even though Eddie wasn’t responsible for the actual cabinetry, since it was pre-fab from a manufacturer, Eddie fixed the drawer up literally better than new. I’m sure our new drawer will now be the last one to develop any more problems in the kitchen.

I have had the pleasure of working with Eddie Sanford on two extensive main level remodeling projects. His management and direction kept everything running smoothly, which is a major feat when living through a remodel. Eddie is a great communicator, keeping all parties informed every step of the way. I was honored that Eddie referred me to his client to provide design guidance with the selection of materials, paint colors, finishes, hardware, fixtures and lighting for this project.
